Party of 17, 4th of July, 7 peaks...1 HELL of a good time!

Mom and Dad own a time-share in Park City so this holiday weekend we cashed in and took a trip up north to celebrate our beautiful country, freedom and FAMILY!
Our family woke at the EARLY hour of 4:30 am to travel to Provo just in time for the Freedom Festival Parade down University Ave...Stopping in Fillmore for donuts and drinks.
We met up with the Hyde's for the festivities.
All of us decked out in out holiday attire. Red, White and blue???...not this year. Stars and Stripes forever!
Our favorite part of the parade were the BYU basketball tricksters!
I think Garrett and Grant enjoyed the cheerleaders the most!
Brent's favorite part was getting to see this gorgeous girl walking down the road promoting Google Fiber.
A hug from Cousin Britt made his day!
After the HEAT Stroke wore off Brent and I took Gav, Grant and Sav to the mall for lunch, a little school shopping and to cool off a bit.
Then we went to the Creamery on 9th for ice cream.
Then our travels took us to Nickel City where we played games, won tickets and earned saweeet prizes.
Grant chose pink shades and Gavin chose a "utility tool".
Opposites sure do attract I tell ya.
That night our kids swam in the pool for a bit while Brent and I wrapped ourselves in beach towels and slept on lounge chairs. We opted out of watching fireworks this year...I had a migraine the size of Texas and the rest of the family was not pro-fireworks. This is why we make such a good team.

Saturday morning the men woke early and drove to hobble Creek for 18 holes of golf.
The women and children put on our swimsuits and hit Seven Peaks water park.
 We LOVE this tradition.

Apparently us sisters like our polka dots and sunnies.
The family raced down Avalanche Racer, played in the kiddie pool and Kori and I even managed to float a few laps in the Lazy River.
 It was a good day!

Sunday morning we got dressed in our Sunday best and went to sacrament meeting at the local ward.
Then most of us (minus the Hyde's) broke the sabbath and went to breakfast at Squatters. Another Park city tradition.

After breakfast our party of 4 hit the road for St George.
We encountered a bit of a storm along the way.
We made it home safe and sound...just in time to start another long week of work...with NO vacations in sight!
BOO HOO!
